Meemo: well hung

Peekabooboo, Meemo's here.

Meemo: Eat sand!

"I'll be gone soon too..."

This is a really special one as it is the first time Meemo has appeared anywhere other than here. You also get to see me. And boy is this Meemo big.

"If you must speak ill of another, do not speak it, write it in the sand near the water's edge."
- Napoleon Hill

And a poetic one:-

The Two Gentlemen of Verona , Act II Scene iv

Proteus: Then let her alone.

Valentine: Not for the world: why, man, she is mine own,
And I as rich in having such a jewel
As twenty seas, if all their sand were
The water nectar and the rocks pure gold.
Forgive me that I do not dream on thee,
Because thou see’st me dote upon my
My foolish rival, that her father likes
Only for his possessions are so huge,
Is gone with her along, and I must after,
For love, thou know’st, is full of jealousy.

William Shakespeare

Meemo: My balloon...

A humble thank you to dear reader Jacqkie for sharing Mini Mini Mini Moe with her readers. May the cast continue to pour you a cup of fuzziness whenever you need someone to share a little bit of themselves.

"...and a sigh is nothing more than an audible exhalation."

An extract from John Keats' Isabella or The Pot of Basil, line 73 - 76:
"Parting they seem'd to tread upon the air,
Twin roses by the zephyr blown apart
Only to meet again more close, and share
The inward fragrance of each other's heart."
John Keats

Meemo: You're cold.

"I'm cold...you can keep me warm but I'm wont ask."

"Please don't dare tell her what I've become, please don't mention all the attention I have drawn, please don't bother, cause she'll feel guilty when I'm gone. Because I'm crazy like the rest of us, but I'm crazier when I'm next to her." - Jason Mraz

This is yet another very special picture to me because:-
1) It is the first time I attempt to draw snow...and a baby walrus.
2) Its strange of me to use candy-like colours but I did. I don't know why yet.
3) Also the first time Meemo quotes a song.
4) I super duper hyper love this drawing. Definitely one of my favourites.

Usually I don't like to explain my drawings much because I rather leave it open to interpretation but some interesting random facts for you:-
1) This is the first song from Jason Mraz that actually caught my attention kept me interested.
2) The song title is "Please Don't Tell Her" from his Mr A-Z album.
3) There are two reasons why I drew snow, one of them is because there is a line in the song that goes
"She is taller than I am", and being Meemo, he goes up to a higher altitude to sulk. The other reason will not be mentioned.

Meemo: Puzzling

"Sometime things can fit, but they just wont."

Here's is a quote I truly like which relates the best:-

*The puzzling piece in this piece, is actually Gumby, one of my favourite cartoons as a kid. Don't think you know who Gumby is, but I like it.

Meet Meemo

Meemo was orginally a product of my frustration with assignments back in college. I'm a graduate now. Almost on a daily basis, I have to write at least a thousand words that make me sound really profound and smart.

Meemo as you have guessed, is a really bitter, bitter stick figure. Emo most of the time, one of the bigger problems he has with himself is his ego. Emo or ego, who cares, really?

Someone once posted an interesting question in the other blog and Meemo wanted to answer...
Anonymous said...
your Meemo is kinda cute, but why portrayed him around da negative environment? he looks sad. maybe you should cheer him up by illustrating him in the brighter and more cheerful kind of environment next time. ;)
------------------------------------------------------------
hi anonymous,

Actually the idea is to get him into a mismatch/ironic type of situation. If you realise, most (if not all) of the environment he's in is a very happy one. Lots of clouds in blue skies, green grasses, flowers and the sort. The only 'negative element' is probably Meemo himself. He seems to create an anti-joy in the smallest of things ruining his day ALL BY HIMSELF.

A friend of mine once said "sometimes, problems are just self-created" which I find to be absolutely true. However, at the end of the day, most people find these drawings cute. Stop to ponder, isn't it a little sad to feel enlightened by a sad little stick figure? Aha...see how everything is just wrapped up in a big parcel of ironic ironicness iron iro...wateverrrrr. ;)
------------------------------------------------------------

Seeing that this is the first appearance of Meemo, I will be generous and share two drawings.

This was what inspired the birth of Meemo. Possibly the first Meemo sighting.

And seeing that Meemo was introducted here aided with a question, this is what Meemo thinks of questions.

*F.A.Q. Background inspired by the movie 300. The scene when the Queen asks Leonidas to return home, with his shield or on it.
